It was so good to see so many parents and students at yesterday’s parent-teacher conferences! If you were unable to attend the conference, all of our teachers' email addresses can be found on the school website. Here are our upcoming events, followed by some information from the district and state.
Monday, September 22 - Friday, September 26
Next week, our school is participating in a strengths-based survey to understand the well-being and school experience of students. Parents chose whether or not to allow their students to take this survey during online registration. Those permissions will be in place next week. The survey will be given during math classes and asks questions like the following:
If you fail to reach an important goal, how likely are you to try again?
How much respect do students in your school show you?
How often were you polite to other students?

Information from Nebo District
Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students on the evening of September 29, 2025, at Diamond Fork Middle School from 4 pm to 8 pm. We will be using Terrace Metrics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, trauma, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12. Students in grades 3-5 may participate to be screened for mental and emotional strengths, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
If you would like to participate please sign up here for an appointment. The assessment tool takes an average of 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, you and your student will meet with a school counselor or social worker to discuss the results of the assessment and receive resources as needed.
Prior to taking the mental health screener, a consent form needs to be completed by the parent/guardian. The consent form will be available upon arrival at the screener event. If you have any questions, please contact your school counselor.

Información del distrito de Nebo
El distrito de Nebo ofrece una evaluador de salud mental para estudiantes, la tarde del 29 de septiembre de 2025 en la Escuela Intermedia Diamond Fork, de 16:00 a 20:00. Utilizaremos el software Terrace Metrics para medir las fortalezas mentales y emocionales, así como para evaluar la ansiedad, la depresión, el trauma y las ideas suicidas en estudiantes de 6.º a 12.º grado. Los estudiantes de 3.º a 5.º grado pueden participar para evaluar sus fortalezas mentales y emocionales, ansiedad, depresión y trauma.
Si deseas participar, regístrate aquí para programar una cita. La herramienta de evaluación toma un promedio de 15 minutos. Posteriormente, usted y su estudiante se reunirán con un consejero escolar o trabajador social para hablar sobre los resultados de la evaluación y recibir los recursos necesarios.
Antes de realizar la evaluación de salud mental, el padre/tutor debe completar un formulario de consentimiento. El formulario estará disponible a su llegada al evento. Si tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con su consejero escolar.
