Springville Jr. High School students and teachers would like to honor the veterans in our lives through a Wall of Honor. Pick up a brick from the front office. Use black ink to fill in an Honor Brick for any special veteran or serviceperson (alive or deceased). The bricks will be used to build a wall of honor to honor our veterans.
Please do not send your only copy of a picture because they will not be returned.
Please use a separate piece of paper for each veteran (not front/back).

We are honoring veterans at Springville Jr. High School during the month of November. We would love to have art displayed throughout the commons area that represents this year's theme of "Because They Served."
Art Options:
You could choose between many different art options such as: drawing, painting, sculpting, constructing, photography, etc. The top 3 art projects will get prizes and be featured on our social media pages.
Guidelines:
Think of the theme, "Because They Served" and create a work of art that represents the theme.
Make sure it is respectful (no graphic violent scenes).
Make sure it honors our veterans.
The art piece needs to be at least 8x10. We want people to be able to see it and the detail you have worked so hard to create. It can be larger, but 8x10 is the minimum size.
Submissions are due: Sunday, November 8th
Submit your entry to Mrs. Lundell in the office.

Every Thursday, get to know one of our amazing faculty or staff at SJHS! This week, meet Ms. Elias! Ms. Elias is our student success teacher and is originally from Provo. She loves being outdoors hiking and camping, reading, and hanging out with her family. Ms. Elias's favorite treat is popcorn and beef jerky and her favorite drink is Vitamin Water. Her favorite movie is Cinderella Man and her favorite book is the Hiding Place. We love Ms. Elias!

She loves reading, speaking Chinese, crafting, traveling, and being with family. Her favorite treat is caramel turtles and her favorite drink is an Unbreakable from Swig. If she could travel anywhere it would be to Thailand with her family. Her favorite book is Persuasion by Jane Austin, and her favorite movie is Jaws! We love Ms. George!

Take a moment, think about it and then go to town with your creativity! You can write, sing, dance, draw, paint, sculpt, and even make a movie or write a poem. Entries are due by Oct 16th.
