Every Thursday, get to know one of our amazing faculty or staff at SJHS! This week, meet Ms. Silvey! Ms. Silvey is originally from Mapleton, UT and attended BYU. She loves running, hiking, reading, watching Premier League soccer, and baking treats. Her favorite treat is homemade rice krispies and her favorite drink is Dr. Pepper Zero Creamy Coconut. If Ms. Silvey could travel anywhere it would be back to New Zealand. Her favorite book is Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs by Mo Willems and her favorite music is 80s/90s alternative rock. We sure love having Ms. Silvey at our school!
Our SJHS cross country season is about halfway over and our runners are racing so well! Last Friday was our first home meet against Mapleton Jr. High school We had so many great performances from both the boys and girls teams and a lot of personal records. The week before we raced at Spanish Fork and won both the girls and the boys races. Go Knights!

Just a reminder that students will be released early on Monday, September 21 at 11:15 am. Teachers will be participating in professional development in the afternoon. Students will be served lunch at 11:00am before dismissal.

The Scholastic Book Fair is this week! Students can shop the fair before school and at lunch from Sept 14-17. Parents and families are invited to come shop the fair during parent teacher conferences on September 17 from 3:30-7pm.

He loves traveling, guitar, hiking, tennis, and board games. His favorite drink is Jarritos and his favorite snack is Lindt truffles. His dream vacation is to Israel. We love Mr. Hammond.
