
Every Thursday, get to know one of our amazing faculty or staff at SJHS! This week, meet Ms. Reese. Ms. Reese grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended college at Utah State, UVU, and BYU for various degrees. She teaches World History and Geography and love the book To Kill a Mockingbird. Her favorite drink is Pepsi or Coke and she loves to snack on Gardettos. If she could travel anywhere it would be to Europe! We love Ms. Reese!

Come to the school dance on Thursday, September 3rd at 3:30 -5:30 pm. It is tropical themed, so wear tropical clothes, and be ready to party!
It is $3 to get into the dance, and the food and drinks cost extra. Bring your student ID to the dance so that it is easier and quicker for you to get in.

The Book Fair is coming to SJHS this month! Students can shop the fair before school or at lunch Sept. 14-17. Parents and families are invited to shop the fair during parent teacher conferences on Sept 17 from 3:30-7pm.


Our first home tennis match is TODAY at Springville High School. Come and support the SJHS Girl's Tennis Team! All matches start at 3:30.

Allies support each other! Sports and Band day, Wednesday, Sep 2. Wear your favorite sports or band attire.

Two is better than one! Grab a friend and dress alike this Tuesday at Springville Junior High. Don't forget Allies stand as one!

He loves sports, outdoors, and gaming and would love to visit Rio de Janeiro one day (he speaks Portuguese!). We love Mr. Jessee!

A new school year is here and with it a new year of library reading challenges! Read along with us from home as we explore different genres and types of books.
The library challenge for August/September is to read a friend's recommendation. As your friend from the SJHS library, I recommend these wonderful books for you! Read them on your own, read to your little kids, or recommend a book to your student. However or whatever you decide to read, pick up a book and get started!

Cross country is starting soon! Anyone interested in joining us this season, come to our parent meeting tomorrow (Friday) to learn all about it. Practices will start on Tuesday!


We are so excited to introduce you to our new 9th grade math teacher, Mr. Wells. Originally from Wellsville, Utah (near Logan), Mr. Wells loves Dr. Pepper Strawberries and Cream and peanut butter pretzels. He loves musicals and his favorite musical is Hamilton!

Our counselors will be hosting a "Jr. High 101" informational session to help new students learn about the jr. high and how they can be successful as students. These sessions will be held in the cafetorium at the following times:
